Her Lordship completed her schooling at Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, Chandigarh. She graduated in the discipline of Humanities from Government College for Girls (GCG), Sector 11, Chandigarh, and is an alumna of the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh, where she pursued her B.A. LL.B. (Three-Year Course) and LL.M.

She was enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1990 and practiced at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. During her practice, she dealt with cases of various kinds, including criminal, civil, service, revenue, and constitutional matters. She also represented the Union Territory, Chandigarh, for a number of years, as well as several Boards and Corporations.

She was elevated to the Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 31st March 2014. She became a Judge of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority on 4th February 2025.
