Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra was born on 16 November 1968. He completed his B.A. (Honours) in Economics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, and obtained his LL.B. degree from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. He was enrolled as an Advocate on 8 May 1993 and primarily practised in Civil, Constitutional and Service Law matters. During his distinguished career at the Bar, he appeared as arguing counsel for several statutory bodies, including NOIDA, Ghaziabad Development Authority, Allahabad Development Authority, IFFCO, Indian Oil Corporation and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation. He was also engaged as Senior Counsel by the State Government in various important matters. In recognition of his professional excellence, he was designated as a Senior Advocate in 2013. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on 3 February 2014 and became a Permanent Judge on 1 February 2016. After serving at the Allahabad High Court from 3 February 2014 to 20 July 2025, he was transferred to the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, where he assumed charge on 21 July 2025.
