• Mediation is yet another mode of alternative dispute resolution mechanism provided to the people to settle their pending disputes. Courts refer the suitable cases to Mediation Centre for settlement by mediation.
• Mediation and Conciliation Centers have been opened in all the Districts/Sub-Divisions of Haryana. In the year 2025, 37015 cases were received and 3448 settled in Mediation and Conciliation Centres. In Haryana, we have 628 trained mediators, who include Judges, retired Judicial Officers and Advocates.
• Pre-Litigation Desks/Clinics have been set up in all 22 Districts of Haryana. Police stations / women cells of Haryana refer all the matrimonial disputes to the these desks/clinics for exploring the possibility of settling the matter at Pre-Litigation stage. In the year 2025, 5745 cases were received and 1424 settled through Pre-Litigation desk/clinics.
• Pre-Institution Mediation and Settlement (PIMS) cases of Commercial Court involving Commercial Disputes are being dealt with, by the respective District Legal Services Authorities of Haryana as per Commercial Courts Act- 2015 as well as Commercial Courts (Pre-Institution Mediation and Settlement) Rules, 2018.
