In Permanent Lok Adalats, cases relating to Public utility services such as transport service, postal, telegraph or telephone service, supply of power, light or water to the public by any establishment, system of public conservancy or sanitation, service in hospital or dispensary, insurance service, housing and estates, banking and finance, in which dispute is up to the value of Rs. 1 crore are taken up at Pre-litigative stage and settled without any expenditure preferably, on the basis of conciliation. In case, conciliation fails, the PLA has the power to decide the dispute on merits on basis of equity, justice and good conscience, without going into legal technicalities.
• Permanent Lok Adalats are functioning in the ADR Centres, Court complexes in the State of Haryana. At present, 15 Permanent Lok Adalats (PUS) are functional and Camp Courts are held at remaining 06 stations namely Jhajjar, Fatehabad, Mewat, Palwal, Jind and Narnaul except Charkhi Dadri.
